ORIGINAL COMPOSITION FROM KATY DILLEY MUSIC
I love composition because it allows me to create musical worlds. It allows me to tell stories and take my listeners on journeys through the heights and depths of human emotion. I believe in the power of music to uplift, and so I strive to create music that leaves the listener feeling just a little more hopeful than before.
So far I have been concentrating on releasing albums, which are shown below! However, I am fascinated by the role of music in films and would love to collaborate with any filmmaker in need of original music. Contact me!
New Beginnings Album
This is my first album. It contains eight instrumental tracks written mostly during high school. I created this album for a project in college, and you can read about my step-by-step process here:

Wedding Album
This album contains the original music composed for my husband's and my wedding in December of 2023! My husband, Stephen Dilley, recorded the solo bass parts that appear throughout the album, and I recorded the solo piano parts. The cover photo is one of our actual wedding photos (taken by Maria Damian Photography and used with permission). This music is tremendously special to us and we hope that you enjoy it as well.

Ambient Music
Wikipedia defines ambient music as "a genre of music that emphasizes tone and atmosphere over traditional musical structure or rhythm." I love listening to ambient music while studying, especially when it is accompanied by rain sounds. So one day I decided to record myself improvising and add rain sounds to create my own ambient music track. I plan to record more in the future!
